As a urologist, what surprises me isn't the men who come in asking for viagra.
What surprises me is how many of them genuinely have no idea what's actually happening to them.
Because the men I'm talking about aren't young guys with performance anxiety. They're 40, 45, 50 years old. They've been working hard their whole lives, carrying the weight of careers, mortgages, families. And somewhere along the way, quietly, without a single dramatic moment, things started declining.
Not overnight. That's the thing nobody talks about.
It wasn't one bad night that started this. It was years of accumulated stress that slowly wore the system down, until one day they looked up and realized it just wasn't working the way it used to.
And when I explain to them what's actually been going on inside their bodies all this time, most of them go quiet for a moment. Because it finally makes sense.
